Location
Holme-next-the-Sea is a small coastal village on the North West Norfolk coast, northeast of Hunstanton. Located within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (National Landscapes).
Parking
There is a large public car park in Holme-next-the-Sea at the northern end of Beach Road close to the golf course - charges apply at certain times. The beach is just a few minutes walk away via a public footpath across the golf course.
Public conveniences, with facilities for the disabled, can be found opposite the car park.
Railway Stations
There are main line railway stations at King's Lynn (15 miles) connecting with London King's Cross/St. Pancras, Peterborough (42 miles), Norwich (44 miles) and Cambridge (62 miles).
Airports
Norwich (42 miles), London Stansted (90 miles).
Buses
King's Lynn has a large bus station with routes to many destinations in Norfolk.
Hunstanton has a smaller bus station with connections to King's Lynn and Cromer.
The Coastliner 36 route runs from King's Lynn to Wells and connects with the CoastHopper Service that runs from Wells to Cromer every hour both ways, 7 days a week.
This service is a great way to explore the North Norfolk coast. This is especially true if you want to take advantage of the many pubs and restaurants dotted along the route. Journey times are quick with a trip from Thornham to Wells Quay taking just over half an hour. If travelling by train you can pick up the coastal route from King's Lynn. To switch between the CoastLiner and CoastHopper services you change buses at Wells.
