Frozen Seas at Holme 1963
A series of postcards and photographs collected by Mrs Norah Green nee Maskell
In 1963 a prolonged spell of extreme weather caused the seas around Britain to freeze on the coastline and estuaries, and the tidal movement broke the ice into quite sizable floes. Shown here are some views of the sea and beached ice floes off Holme-next-Sea beach.
